Take two parts crazy, three parts wanderlust, a dash of cash and you get my trip.
The plan is to board a plane on April 12th 2010, bound for Beijing, and spend as long as I can on the road, writing, photographing and recording the people, places and adventures that I find along the way.
I’ve been given a great gift, a chance to see the world while I’m still young enough have fun, but old enough to enjoy some of the less beer related activities along the way. I understand that not everyone has the freedom, or ability to pack up their life and hit the road, and with this in mind I’m taking you all along for the journey.
The Google Map shows the countries I plan to visit on this trip, although I’m sure there will be more - In what order, and by what means is completely unknown to me - all I know is I have a fist full of money and a one way ticket to my starting location Beijing.
This is where you come in! I want to know the things you would like to see, the places you would like to trek, the food you would love to eat. Or if you’ve been lucky enough to travel give me some pointers on what is good off the beaten track.
This is not a Lonely Plant gap year trip, there’s no Contiki or massive drunken tours (well except Oktoberfest but that is more a celebration of the harvest than a tour) .
I have a list, a bucket list if you will, only I don’t want to wait till I’m 60 to cross off the items, instead I want to be able to brag about my Global trek for the next 50 years.
What do you think? Leave a comment on where you think I should Go.
