2012

“2012 will be the year I make it”

Sitting in the departure lounge at Melbourne International airport listening to the chatter of other travellers. Around me I can hear first time travellers going over their gap year plan, a family on their first vacation as a unit, and an old couple chatting about the last time they were here.

The gap year travellers are the ones that interest me the most, they are about to start what will probably be the best year of their lives. They are full excited wonder, their talk keeps coming back to seeing Paris, Rome, Venice. As a tour manager this is the cool thing I get to do on a regular basis, I get to help for fill these dreams.

As 2012 rolls on, we’re at day 10 now, I’m looking forward to taking to the road again. I’m also super happy that I’ll get to do some travel, my only new years resolution is to have my travel plans for the end of the year booked by July.

A few other hopes for this year
- Helicopter lessons (oh yes!)
- Parachute Lessons (OH HELL YES)
- Get the Camper of Cool back on the road
